***Cape Charles Beach Closed March 24-28*** From the outside, our home looks like it's been in Cape Charles for the last century — but it was actually built in 2011! Guests enjoy the benefit of modern amenities right in the historic district. You won't find another backyard like this in Cape Charles! The combination of the paved patio, outdoor fireplace, oversized hammock, and plenty of seating allows guests to relax comfortably. Rinse off the sand in our brand-new outdoor shower. We also have an expansive front porch with several rocking chairs that will allow you to savor the Bay breezes in the shade. Inside, there's a modern kitchen, dining room, two full bathrooms, a laundry room, and four bedrooms spread over three floors. Families with young children are encouraged to pack light and use our pack 'n' play, high chair, baby gate, and kid-friendly cups, dishes, and utensils. We also have toys, board games, and beach toys for guests' use. For remote workers, we have an office space on our third floor. It offers a quiet, private area for those who need to check in with the office while balancing a work/vacation schedule. We also provide beach chairs, a beach umbrella, and two bikes. Inside, our smart TV allows you to watch all your favorite shows from various apps.

No smoking or drug use on the property. All fires must be contained to the fireplace. Must be monitored until the fire has gone out. No unauthorized guests allowed to stay in the house without the host’s express permission. Maximum occupancy is 8. Please be respectful of our neighbors and respect quiet hours. Recognize that our home is in a quiet residential area and loud gatherings will not be tolerated. Please do not flush anything besides toilet paper. Please do not track sand into the house. Please do not take bath towels to the beach. Please do your best to park in our driveway or in front of our home. If anything in the house is broken or damaged, please alert us immediately so we can make repairs.

Our home is located on a peaceful block on the edge of the historic district. We are an easy walk, bike ride, or golf cart ride away from bakeries, restaurants, a bookshop, a distillery, a candy store, a coffee house, and so much more! Central Park, with its playground, free tennis courts, and summer concert series, is three blocks away. And of course, our beautiful town beach is six blocks (less than a half mile) away! Some of our family's favorites: - Coastal Baking Co. — Pastries for breakfast, hearty sandwiches for lunch, and a nice craft beer selection - Peach Street Books — We love browsing their used books with a cup of locally brewed coffee in hand. Here are some great local restaurants that you should check out in town! * The Oyster Farm Seafood Eatery: Known for its fine dining and impressive local seafood menu, this restaurant offers stunning water views of the Chesapeake Bay. * The Shanty: A popular waterfront spot with a laid-back feel and great views. It's known for its fresh seafood, including blue crab dip and fried oyster baskets. * Cape Charles Coffee House: Housed in a historic bank building, this spot is perfect for breakfast or lunch with a vintage feel. They also serve wine and beer. * The Elephant and the Octopus Pub: This public house is located at 133 Mason Avenue and is known for its excellent food, including a wagyu burger and pub dip, and a phenomenal staff. * Ambrogia Caffé & Enoteca: This Italian café on Mason Avenue is known for its authentic Italian dishes, fresh ingredients, and romantic vibe. * Cape Charles Brewing Company: A fun, casual spot with a great outdoor space. We use convenient personalized keyless smart lock entry for self check-in, details provided prior to arrival. • Early check-ins or late check-outs: If the property happens to be ready earlier than the standard 4 pm check-in time on the day of your arrival we will do our best to get you in early. Late check-outs past 11am must be confirmed with hosts prior to the date of departure.

We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely visit again! The house was lovely and we could walk to beach and park as well as the town. The hosts were wonderful and responded immediately to any questions we had! They even left a sweet welcome gifts for our stay !

our large family needed a place to stay for a quick night. this fit the bill perfectly. very clean, plenty of beds, pack n play for the baby (always love to not have to drag one along) lots of great amenities. this was a quick trip but would definitely use again for a longer stay.
